Here at The Greenhouse Integrative Medical Centre we believe
that the best way to manage cancer is with a holistic approach.
The patient needs to address all issues affecting
Body, Mind and Soul. It is simplistic to believe that one can achieve long term
success with the one-sided conventional medical protocols involving
chemotherapy and/or radiation and/or surgery.
Although there are many “successes” with conventional
or orthodox treatments, these are often accompanied by adverse effects of
treatment and the possibility of recurrences at a later stage.
Here is the framework for the approach we advocate:
1. Lifestyle changes
2. Nutritional changes
3. Address negative mental emotions,
past traumas, grievances, unhealthy relationships and conflicts
4. Detoxify the body
5. Support the immune system
6. Starve the cancer
7. Kill cancer cells
8. Strive for spiritual contentment.
Some patients opt to follow the conventional route,
some the integrative route while others combine the best of both approaches. If
the patient has chemotherapy or radiation treatment, we can help to minimise
adverse effects while undergoing these treatments.
It is a common mistake to believe that when the cancer
is no longer visible on a scan, that one is free of cancer. The stem cells are
not usually eliminated and can seed metastases to other tissues even years
later. The whole body is full of invisible cancer cells, so one must aim to
make the internal environment as unfriendly towards cancer growth as possible.
We follow the principles of the Jane McLelland
approach to starve then kill cancer cells in cycles. This method has been
proven to not only kill the rapidly multiplying cancer cells (same as
chemotherapy) but also to target the stem cells which are prone to rearing
their ugly heads at a later stage to cause metastases.
Treatments are very individualised as different
cancers feed off different nutrients. Most cancers thrive on sugar, so that is
why it is so important to cut sugar out of one’s diet. Other cancers may thrive
on proteins or fats, so these may need to be restricted as well. These metabolic
pathways are currently undergoing much research in the scientific world to
identify new drugs, but Jane McLelland discovered 25 years ago that many tried
and tested drugs such as Metformin and aspirin, and more recently, Ivermectin
and Fenbendazole could be repurposed to starve and kill cancer cells.
The tools we employ include herbal and homeopathic
medicines, vitamins and minerals, nutraceutical medicines, aromatic essential
oils, flower essences and repurposed drugs. We also use Rife Resonator
treatments, intravenous high dose Vitamin C infusions and intravenous ozone
infusions. If toxic metals are found to be high on photometric analysis we
offer chelation protocols to reduce the level of the metals.
Many patients find that dealing with cancer in a
holistic way can be an enlightening journey!
